Slingit was founded by Walt Geer — a 25+ year entrepreneur who started as a VC-backed B2B Internet founder during the Dot-Com era. For the last several years, he’s spent a lot of time at gun counters — and keeping up with all things AI.Working alongside one of the nation’s largest FFLs, Walt dug into the real, day-to-day challenges of firearm operations and compliance. That’s where he logged his 10,000 hours — and where he connected the dots.
He teamed up with Nic DiChiara, Slingit’s co-founder and CTO — a former startup founder and, most recently, a principal software engineer at Porsche North America. Walt’s a lifelong gun owner, but Nic’s our gun guy — leading the AI engineering team in Atlanta.This isn’t some left-coast startup chasing the next trend. We’ve built and scaled real businesses serving real customers. We know firearms, AI, and enterprise-level data, security, and compliance.
